First of all, congrats. I have been off twitter for a while and just logged in to see your recent tweet.

You hated that job and your boss was a turd. You are a super intelligent human with amazing capabilities. From the first second we chatted I hoped you would find your way out of that hole; however it came to be.

Take what you've learned about what you don't want and run. And if you can swing the rent while working at borders and setting up your own gig - I say go for it. Because honestly, from what you have revealed to me in your writing, you are never going to be happy or passionate working for the man, and even if you find yourself in a place of leadership, you are going to end up hating who you have to become to keep the higher ups happy.

Methinks you are just way to creative to happily make it in that world--- no doubt that you can make it, but being happy doesn't suck.

Enjoy this time--- and try not to stress. Paying the rent is easy when you're smart and resourceful and can set the ego aside. Focus on you and get what you want.

Hi! First of all, sorry this happened to you! Second of all, I'm glad you feel free and have a positive outlook on the future.

That fear you mention in your entry... it's all too familiar.
